The Nevada Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Public Information Project

These Lands are Your Lands.  Federal lands managed by the Forest Service, your national forests and grasslands, and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). The acreage is impressive; the Forest Service manages over 6.3 million acres in Nevada and in California for the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, and 48 million acres for the BLM in Nevada.

By the Numbers.  By 2010, an estimated 60 million OHV riders will enjoy our national forests and public lands. In fact, there are an estimated 425,000 OHVs in Nevada, or about 1 for every 6 people.

Keep Nevada and the Eastern Sierra in California Beautiful by Riding Responsibly.  In the right places, and used carefully, motor vehicles are an appropriate use on public lands. However, irresponsible use of motorized vehicles will damage both the land and the resources that the visitors come to enjoy.
